On 11 October, Taiwan Beer, Taiwan’s best-selling beer brand, received the ‘Brand of the Year’ award at the World Branding Awards ceremony. The award recognises Taiwan Beer’s achievements as one of the world’s best beer brands.
Representative Lin attended the ceremony at Kensington Palace to collect the award on behalf of the brand, which is an icon of Taiwanese culture and famous for its use of Formosa rice in the fermentation process. Before being named as a winner, Taiwan Beer was given a rigorous assessment, being judged through three streams; brand valuation, consumer market research and public online voting. It was the only brand in the beer category from Taiwan to be selected for this year’s awards.
The ceremony was hosted by the World Branding Forum, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing branding standards. It featured many of the world’s most recognised brands, with over 135,000 consumers and 3000 brands from 35 countries taking part in the nomination proceedings.
