The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is offering scholarship to outstanding students in the southern Africa including the Republic of South Africa, who intend to pursue Master’s and PhD study at universities in Taiwan. Fields of study offered are as follows:

Documents Required for Application:
1. Duly filled ICDF scholarship application form ONLINE with a traceable reference number before 31 March 2024 (hard copy also required).
2. Duly filled Application form of applied university in Taiwan (downloaded from the website of the applied school)
3. Photocopied diploma and transcripts (authenticated by the issuing school and Taipei Liaison Office in the Republic of South Africa)
4. ICDF Health examination certificate (including HIV test)
5. Two Letters of recommendation
6. Study and research plan
7. Evidence of English proficiency
8. Personal information and other supporting materials
9. A photocopy of passport
NOTE: The documents required for application may vary from school to school. They should be prepared exactly based on each school’s announcement.
Application Procedure:
1. Prepare required documents (view ICDF website and each school’s announcement).
2. Submit (by air mail) exactly required documents to individual school for admission before each program’s deadline (between early March and April 2023).
3. Fulfill ICDF scholarship application form ONLINE on the ICDF Website(http://www.icdf.org.tw/TSP/welcome.aspx) before 31 of March 2024.
4. Also submit the same copy of documents to the Taipei Liaison Office for recommendation before 31 of March 2024. (Mailing Address: 1147, Francis Baard Street, Hatfield Pretoria 0083 or P.O.BOX 649 Pretoria 0001)
