Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada held the mask donation ceremony

Representative Winston Wen-yi Chen of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada (TECO), handed over the mask donations to the Canadian Red Cross at a ceremony in Ottawa on May 4th, 2020.
Representative Winston Wen-yi Chen said that the donation of 500,000 surgical masks was a chance for Taiwan to “extend a helping hand to the frontline medical staff in Canada.” It is consistent with Taiwan’s goal of supporting the global community at a time when cooperation is sorely needed. Taiwan will continue to take substantive actions to demonstrate the compassion and determination of its government and people, and reaffirm its sincere commitment to working with the international community to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
