As emphasized by H.E. Matthew Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of China (TAIWAN) to the Holy See, the outpouring of support from the Taiwan people to a fundraising campaign led by the CADIS Foundation of the Camillian Order in Rome, has resulted into a donation of EUR30,000.00 to the Vatican Covid-19 Commission recently established by Pope Francis. The donation was presented by Br. Jose Ignacio Saez, President of CADIS in Rome, to H.E. Cardinal Peter Turkson, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development. The amount would be used to help the poor and most vulnerable members of the “human family” in Africa and other parts of the world in the face of the pandemic.
