TECO in S.F. delivered 5K masks to Alameda County on behalf of the Taiwanese people on June 11. These masks were received by President Richard Valle and witnessed by other county officials and leaders from Taiwanese community.
In his remarks, D.G. Ma of the TECO in S.F. mentioned that Taiwan has successfully controlled the spread of COVID-19 in its territory. During the past two months, Taiwan has donated more than 200 thousands medical masks and other medical supplies to the American states. Now the supports from Taiwan has gone further by covering local government such as Alameda county. The donation fulfills the spirit of "Taiwan can help" and demonstrates the strong friendship between Taiwan and the U.S.
Alameda has been a sister cities for City of Taoyuan since 1998, the exchanges between the two cities in many areas has flourished in recent years. Taiwanese people is always ready to help our friend in need.
