Showcasing Taiwan’s Innovation at Vision Expo 2026 in Orlando

Director General Charles Chou visited the Vision Expo 2026 in Orlando on March 13 together with Thomas Tang, Director of the Economic Division in Atlanta Office, LiLing Lee, President of TCCGO, and OCAC e-newsletter volunteer reporter Veronica Hsu.
During the visit, the delegation greeted Taiwanese exhibitors specializing in safety lenses, premium frames, contact lenses, and related optical accessories. They also learned more about the companies’ participation in the exhibition and discussed the continued growth of the global optical and eyewear market.
Director General Chou expressed appreciation for Taiwanese manufacturers for producing high-quality and innovative optical products. Their creativity and craftsmanship not only showcase the vitality of Taiwan to the world, but also help people everywhere see the world more clearly and colorfully.
This year’s Vision Expo features more than 350 exhibitors. In the United States alone, the optical industry reached $69.5 billion in 2025. According to statistics, 94% of U.S. adults use optical products such as prescription glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, reading glasses, or protective eyewear.
