The 2016 Taiwan Fellowship, a scholarship established in 2010 by the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China(Taiwan), will begin accepting applications
on May 1, 2015. The deadline for all applications is June 30, 2015.
The Taiwan Fellowship is awarded to foreign affairs experts and scholars interested in
conducting research at Taiwanese academic institutions in areas related to Taiwan,
mainland China, cross-strait relations, Chinese studies, or the Asia-Pacific region as a
whole. Recipients will be granted round-trip air fare to Taiwan and a monthly stipend
for a term of 3 to 12 months.
Individuals with focused studies on the East and South China Sea, Taiwan’s
prospective membership in Trans-Pacific Partnership(TPP), or the Regional
Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP) are encouraged to apply for the 2016
Fellowship.
Applicants who reside and study in southern California, Arizona and New Mexico
may submit their applications online and mail a copy of all documents of application
to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles(TECO-LA). For more
