The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA) is pleased to announce that it is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) to study in Taiwan.
The Taiwan Scholarship Program is designated to encourage promising students with US citizenship to pursue their degree studies in Taiwan. The award period for each study program varies: 4 years for the Doctorate/Undergraduate Program and 2 years for the Master’s Program.
MOE established the HES Program to encourage international students and individuals to undertake Mandarin Chinese language study in Taiwan. The Program also provides an excellent opportunity for US students to enhance their language skills and gain new cultural experiences by being immersed in a native speaking environment. Recipients will be granted scholarships award periods of 12, 9, 6, or 3 months, and 2 months for the summer program.
Nearly one million international students from diverse regions and backgrounds have pursued their studies in Taiwan over the past decade. These students bring unique cultural and religious perspectives, but share a common experience of a fulfilling academic journey.
