A Lunar New Year Celebration Party, hosted by TECO Director General Paul Chen, all the TECO staff members and their families, took place beside the swimming pool of Talo Verde Luxury Townhomes, where the Director General's residence is located, on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022. About 60 guests from the political, business, academic sectors, the Consular Corps and the Taiwanese Community in Guam were invited to the party, including the Guam Legislature Speaker Hon. Therese M. Terlaje and 7 Guam senators, Joann G. Camacho, wife of Former Governor of Guam Felix Camacho, GVB Board Chairman Milton Morinaga and other GVB officials in charge of Taiwan marketing, Adelina "Enna" K. Jose, Consul General of the Republic of Palau in Guam, Italy Honorary Consul General in Guam Roberto Fracassini, Jeong Kyungbo, Consul, and Chae Minsung, Vice Consul, of the Consular Office of the Republic of Korea in Hagatna, President of UOG Thomas Krise and Senior Vice President of UOG Anita Borja Enriquez, as well as the Taiwanese Community leaders who were appointed the OCAC (Taiwan) Honorary Positions, etc. A musical band named "Fours a Party" formed by students at UOG played light music in the party offering all the invited guests a lively and pleasant vibe. Director General Chen, in his remarks, wished all the invited guests a happy Lunar New Year and thanked them for their staunch support and assistance over the past years following the reopening of TECO in Guam. Besides, The Speaker Terlaje presented a Resolution of Aprreciation, on behalf of the Guam Legislature, Chairman Morinaga awarded a Certificate of Appreciation & a gift, on behalf of GVB, and UOG President Krise, gave a gift, on behalf of UOG, to TECO Director Stephen Hsu in recognition of his contributions. Journalists and cameramen of the mainstream media of Guam, including the Guam Daily Post, the Pacific Island Times and Guam Business Magazine, also came to the party to cover this event. (E)
