Welcome to apply to the 2023 Taiwan Fellowship!
The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in research related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, Sinology, global cyber security, national defense strategy, and combating fake news to conducting advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.
Eligibility:
This program is for United States scholars of the humanities, social sciences and the fields of Taiwan or China Studies, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, Ph.D. candidates, and researchers at overseas universities and academic institutes, wishing to carry out research in Taiwan for periods between three months and one year.
Financial assistance:
(1) Monthly grants for professors, associate professors, and others: NT$60,000, assistant professor, and others NT$50,000.
(2) One round-trip, economy-class ticket (up to NT$55, 000 for those from North America )
(3) The terms of fellowship are 3 to 12 months.
(4) Accident insurance (plus medical insurance for accidental injuries) coverage of NT$1 million.
Application: starts from May 1st until July 15, 2022
