DG Wang Meets KY Sec. of State Michael Adams Virtually

Director-General Wang held a virtual meeting with Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams. The two discussed the evolving nature of US-China relations, which DG Wang referred to, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo coined, as “distrust and verify.” They also discussed the new Hong Kong National Security Law, Taiwan's successful pandemic response, and the opportunities for strengthening KY-Taiwan relations.
DG Wang encouraged trade delegations of high-level officials from Kentucky to visit Taiwan and possibly setting up a trade office in Taiwan. Secretary Adams presented DG Wang with a Commonwealth Ambassador certificate to welcome him.
