In his speech, Representative Lyushun Shen mentioned that, according to the “National Emblem and National Flag of the Republic of China Act,” the emblem is as representative and honorable as the flag of ROC, therefore, a huge ROC national emblem is placed in the ceremony. Representative Shen also alluded to the fact that the 2012 London Olympics was the first time that our nationals could carry the ROC flag into the Olympic compound while cheering on our athletes. Furthermore, our national team was able to carry our national flag while entering the arena of the 2015 World Police and Fire Games held at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.. Representative Shen urged our fellow countrymen to protect our national flag, national emblem and our country.
