2016.01.01 The 105th Founding Day of the Republic of China flag raising ceremony

The Chinese/Taiwanese communities gathered together to extend New Year’s wishes to each other after the flag-raising ceremony. In his remarks, Representative Shen emphasized that there are currently 161 countries and territories which offer visa waiver treatment to passport holders of ROC (Taiwan), which makes traveling more convenient for our citizens. Moreover, under the “1992 Consensus” and President Ying-jeou Ma’s Mainland China policy, Taiwan enjoyed an aggregate trade surplus of US$552.93 billion over the past seven years. Community leaders offered their New Year’s blessings to the participants as well.
