Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu expresses condolences on passing of Hon. Saufatu Sopoaga

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Dr. Joseph Wu, visited the Embassy of Tuvalu in Taipei to express his condolences on the passing of Hon. Saufatu Sopoaga on January 8, 2021.

Accompanied by the Ambassador of Tuvalu the Hon. Limasene Teatu, Minister Wu, on behalf of the Taiwan government and people, expressed his great sadness and signed the Embassy’s condolence book.

Minister Wu also conveyed the Taiwan government’s appreciations to Tuvalu for the late prime minister’s staunch support of enhancing the relationship between Taiwan and Tuvalu during his tenure.
