On behalf of the Taiwanese government, Ambassador Jeremy Liang donated 400 metric tons of rice to the Eswatini government, marking another effort to strengthen food security of Eswatini. The donation was received by Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Thulisile Dladla. This rice will be distributed by the Eswatini government to families in need, helping them celebrate the festive season.
Additionally, Taiwan is promoting local traditional vegetables through Taiwan-Africa Vegetable Initiative (TAVI). Traditional vegetables are not only nutritious but also resilient to climate change. Adjusting dietary habits to include more of these vegetables can help improve health and combat non-communicable diseases. Hon. Deputy Prime Minister also gave a thumbs-up to TAVI’s concept and achievements.
