Position/ Organization: English Translator/Editor, Taipei Representative Office in Singapore
Location: Singapore
Vacancies: 1 Primary Position (3-month probation period), with 2 Reserve Candidates (3-month reserve period, commencing the day following the confirmation of selection results).
Announcement Period: 26 March, 2025 – 14 April, 2025
Qualifications:
- Legally eligible for full-time employment in Singapore (Singaporean Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Sciences (e.g., Economics, Finance, Political Science, International Relations, Journalism) or Language-related fields (e.g., English Literature, Translation and Interpretation).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience; proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
Job Description:
- Translate and edit English correspondence and diplomatic documents, including but not limited to speeches, talking points, summaries, memoranda, press releases, and website content.
- Research and summarize international relations, regional developments, news, and think tank analyses related to Singapore, Southeast Asia, and Asia-Pacific.
- Assist in drafting specialized articles on Taiwan's foreign policy, economic development, and industries (e.g., semiconductor global supply chain).
- Assist in drafting, translating, and editing other assigned documents.
Starting salary:
- SGD 4,445/month (Bachelor's Degree)
- SGD 4,645/month (Master's Degree)
- SGD 5,045/month (Ph.D.)
Workplace: Taipei Representative Office in Singapore
