Taiwan Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow donated a check of 1,000 US Dollars to President of Palau Tennis Federation Attorney General Ernestine Rengiil on Nov 2, 2020 in support of the Federation’s efforts to host a 2020 Palau-Taiwan Tennis Friendship Tournament in November.
Members of the Palau Tennis Federation visited the Embassy of the Republic of China(Taiwan) and discussed the programs of the Tournament. In the meeting, Ambassador Chow donated the check to support the event and hoped tennis can become a more popular sport in Palau so everyone can enjoy. Ardent tennis player and President of the Federation Attorney General Ernestine Rengiil also shared the same idea and encouraged new learners to join the game and have fun.
Last year, the Federation hosted a tennis tournament to commemorate the 20th years of diplomatic relationship between Palau and Taiwan. To further support the development of tennis in Palau, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) partnered with Palau Tennis Federation to co-host 2020 Palau-Taiwan Tennis Friendship Tournament, which started on Tuesday, November 3.
