Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow hosted the 109th National Day Celebration

Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow hosted the 109th National Day Celebration of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at Palasia Hotel on Oct.8th, 2020. Around 140 dignitaries and guests attended the Celebration.
Among the Palauan dignitaries are President Tommy Remengesau, Jr., First Lady Debby Remengesau, Nauru First Lady Ingrid Jacinta Aingimea, Reklai Raphael Ngirmang, Surangel Whipps, Sr., Bilung Gloria Salii, Senate President Hokkons Baules, House Speaker Sabino Anastacio, Minister of State Faustina Rehuher-Marugg, Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs Baklai Temengil-Chilton, Minister of Education Sinton Soalablai, Minister of Finance Elbuchel Sadang.
“Tonight we gather here not only to celebrate the birthday of the Republic of China(Taiwan), but also to appreciate the unwavering friendship between Taiwan and Palau since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1999,” said Ambassador Chow on the remarks.
During the dinner reception, Ambassador Chow also sang Mandarin, Taiwanese and Palauan songs to the audience’s great delight.
