Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade has commissioned the Commerce Development Research Institute to organize the "Wow! Taiwan Project – Bio-Circular-Green Solutions Demo Day" on August 10th in Kuala Lumpur. This event brought together 15 Taiwanese companies to Malaysia, showcasing their technological expertise and holistic solutions to contribute to Malaysia's journey towards a sustainable circular economy.
Malaysia is gradually placing a stronger emphasis on reducing plastic usage and enhancing plastic recycling efforts. The adoption of eco-friendly products is gaining traction within Malaysia's dining and hotel industry. Moreover, significant attention is being directed towards tackling issues such as illegal waste dumping, waste reduction, and recycling solutions. The Waste Management Association of Malaysia and the Sarawak ICT Association, along with other local business associations, have also extended invitations to local buyers to join in the event. This has facilitated interactions between the Taiwanese companies and local businesses in Malaysia, further enhancing the depth of sustainable exchange between Taiwan and Malaysia.
