Following on last October’s historic visit to the RMI by the Republic of China (Taiwan) Coast Guard Patrol Vessel Hsun Hu No. 7 and Deputy Minister Hu, Yih-Gang of the ROC Coast Guard, the ROC (Taiwan) Coast Guard has sent another Patrol Vessel Hsun Hu No. 9 to visit RMI.
During the visit of Hsun Hu No. 9 from June 21 to 27, 2018, the vessel commander and chief officers paid a courtesy call to RMI Police Commissioner George Lanwi and Coast Guard Captain Harris Kaiko. They also called at the ROC Embassy and the Taiwan Technical Mission. The vessel was open to the public on June 23 Saturday at the Uliga Dock.
Hsun Hu No. 9’s successful visit to the RMI marks the second visit by the ROC Coast Guard and another chapter for closer cooperation in coast guard and law enforcement between the two countries.
