Majuro, Marshall Islands — June 10, 2024 — The ROC (Taiwan) Ambassador Steve C.C. Hsia attended the donation ceremony of sports caps for the "2024 Majol Micro Games," hosted by the Marshall Islands Taiwanese Association. The event showcased the dedication of Taiwanese expatriates in the Marshall Islands in supporting this significant event.
Yu-Hao Wang, President of the Taiwanese Association, represented all Taiwanese compatriots living in the Marshall Islands in handing over the sports caps to the "Micro Games" Committee. Committee Chairman and Minister Anthony Muller gathered weightlifting athletes who will represent the Marshall Islands in the upcoming weightlifting competition to receive the donation. Minister Muller also highlighted Taiwan's vigorous efforts in assisting the preparations for the "Micro Games" and extended his gratitude to President Wang and Ambassador Hsia.
Taiwan has been actively supporting the Marshall Islands in preparing for the "2024 Majol Micro Games." Previously, the Taiwanese government donated $57,625 to assist the Marshallese government in purchasing over 2,000 uniforms for the "Micro Games." The Taiwan government also provided concessional loans for the construction of the track and field facilities. The Taiwanese community's recent donation of sports caps further exemplifies Taiwan's deep appreciation for its friendship with the Marshall Islands and its strong commitment to aiding the country's development.
