President David Kabua Thanks Taiwan For Medical Supplies

In order to co-fight against COVID-19, H.E Ambassador Jeffery S.C. Hsiao, on behalf of ROC(Taiwan) government, donated 20,000 face masks and 50 forehead thermometers to RMI on the 23rd of April, 2020. H.E. President David Kabua and cabinet members attended the handover ceremony.
Casten Nemra, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, expressed sincere gratitude to Taiwan on behalf of the President, and emphasized that RMI treasures Taiwan’s assistance in this critical time.
H.E Ambassador Jeffery S.C. Hsiao listed some of the contributions Taiwan has made to RMI, including the construction of negative pressure rooms in Majuro and the donation of 7,000 bars of soap to schools. He emphasized that Taiwan will provide more other medical instruments to help build RMI’s capability in the fight against COVID-19. Taiwan can help, and Taiwan is helping.
President David Kabua signed a letter showing his admiration to President Tsai for her strong and successful leadership in the time fighting against Wuhan virus, and promising his support for Taiwan’s international participation.
