The 2018 “Taiwan Scholarship” Programs are well received by Saint Lucian students. This year, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) received 130 applications, among them, 78 for Taiwan Scholarship, 40 for ICDF Scholarship and 12 for I-SHOU Medical Scholarship.
Qualified students will be interviewed at the Embassy from March 22 to 23. There will be written exam and Skype interview for I-SHOU Medical Scholarship applicants later in April. Awardees’ list will be announced on the Embassy’s website on June 30, 2018.
Since the re-establishment of diplomatic relationship between the two countries in 2007, over 1,200 Saint Lucian students have applied for various scholarship programs offered by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), among them 134 students are granted scholarship. So far, half of the awardees have finished their studies in Taiwan, and return to Saint Lucia to contribute the expertise they acquired.
