13 SKN Nationals Awarded Full Taiwanese Scholarships For 2018

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Thirteen young persons from St. Kitts and Nevis will soon depart the federation bound for Taiwan to pursue tertiary education, thanks to full scholarships provided by the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
This year there were 13 successful candidates from a field of over 30 applicants. Five of those candidates hail from Nevis.
Awardees for Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) scholarships are Ke-jaun Browne, Chaddessa Rodriques, Krislee Dasent, Kyric Phillip, Jasmine Liburd, Garim Jones, Orecia Hutchinson, Kyree Martin, and Daniella Murraine.
The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship is granted to students from countries that have diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Recipients will spend one year at Mandarin-teaching institutions learning the language, and then can apply for admission to ant degree program.
Four persons were awarded the International cooperation and development Fund (ICDF) scholarship- Karen Crawford, who will pursue International Nursing masters Degree, Pierre Bowrin, who will pursue a PHD in Global Health and health security, Meritzer Lawrence and Chalieze Browne both of Nevis, who will pursue medicine.
