The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Prague, is looking for applicant for the position of Assistant in the Economic Division. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) starting from August 1st, 2024.
Monthly Salary: Approximately CZK 36,000

Job Description:
- Act as the Czech-speaking contact person for the Economic Division and make Czech-English translation.
- Prepare documents and responses to inquiries and requests for information regarding trade, investment, R&D, industry, and other economic issues.
- Prepare meetings and handle other correspondence with the Czech Government (Ministries, regions, cities), authorities, associations, enterprises, etc.
- Collect information and data about the Czech economy and market, and support small-scale research projects.
- Gather relevant news.
- Coordinate delegation visits, plan and manage events and other related projects.
- Organize and prepare trips for the Economic Division (booking restaurants, hotels, etc.)
- Assist the Economic Division with administrative tasks.
- When necessary, provide support to other divisions in coordination with the Director of the Economic Division.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an economic or business field)
- Languages: Fluent in Czech and English (both verbal and written)
- Professional Skills: Computer literate (familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet searching)
- Personal Skills: Highly organized, good communication skills, good time management, ability to work in a team but also independently, responsible, and willing to work in a multicultural environment.
- Additional: Experience in networking agencies, an interest in economic affairs and a driving license ‘B’ are an advantage, but not a requirement.
