Ambassador Amino Chi attended the closing ceremony of the Mandarin course at St. John’s College Junior College and jointly presented certificates to 40 students with President Mirtha Peralta on April 28.
It was especially encouraging to hear students speaking and even singing in Mandarin. Their enthusiasm was truly impressive, and we hope more young Belizeans will continue learning the language and consider future study opportunities in Taiwan.
A student also presented a surprising painting “Panshih Fast Combat Support Ship” as a gift to Ambassador Chi, showcasing the creativity and talent of St. John’s students.
Special thanks to our Madarin teacher Ms. Heidi Hsiao for her effort to let the students get better understanding of Taiwan through the Madarin learning. The Embassy is pleased to see this growing partnership through the Mandarin program supported by the Taiwan Technical Mission.
