A Friend in need is a friend indeed

During a ceremony held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize on January 7th 2025, Ambassador Lily Li-wen Hsu, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), presented a recovery assistance contribution of US$ 100.000 to the Government of Belize in response to the devastating damage caused by Tropical Storm Sara. The contribution will support the Belize Livestock Producers’ Association’s project to help 200 Belizean cattle farmers in Belize River Valley and Crooked Tree to recover from the flooding impact and build resilience.

Taiwan and Belize both are prone to natural disasters, but “our peoples are resilient, and as friends, we care for each other and lend support to each other” remarked Ambassador Hsu.
