The Belize House of Representatives passed the Motion on the 35th Anniversary of Diplomatic ties between Belize and Taiwan (2024/09/13)

On September 13, Ambassador Lily Hsu was very honored to witness the adoption of the Motion to celebrate 35 years of diplomatic ties between Taiwan and Belize by the House of Representatives of Belize. This resolution reaffirms commitment to the strong partnership between Taiwan and Belize, shows solidarity with Taiwan in safeguarding its democracy and freedom, and supports Taiwan’s participation in all related international organizations.

Taiwan and Belize will celebrate 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in October this year. Over the past 35 years, based on shared values of freedom, democracy, and human rights, our two nations have maintained close collaboration in various fields and developed a mutually beneficial relationship.

The passage of this motion is yet another testament to the strong partnership between our two nations. The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the government and people of Belize for their unwavering support and warm friendship!
