On August 6, the 1st Meeting of the Technical Barriers to Trade Committee under the Taiwan-Belize Economic Cooperation Agreement was successfully held in virtual format.
Ms. Samantha Banner, Acting Director of the Belize Bureau of Standards and Mr. Yi-Shen Hung, Director of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), co-chaired the meeting, which marked a significant step forward in enhancing assistance cooperation between Taiwan and Belize. Both sides expressed their commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaboration, aiming to cultivate a dynamic and advancing partnership.
The Embassy looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the Government of Belize on many more productive engagements that will drive progress and mutual growth.
