On August 3, Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu had the great pleasure to pay a visit to the Belize Council for the Visually Impaired (BCVI) and met with Executive President Joan Musa and Mrs. Carmencita Cruz, Finance Officer of BCVI.
During the visit Ambassador Hsu was given a tour of the 4 decades old organization, witnessing the invaluable work BCVI is doing to support the visually impaired community in Belize.
Both sides also engaged in a fruitful discussion. One exciting topic was the collaboration between BCVI and the upcoming visit of a medical team from Taiwan’s Far Eastern Memorial Hospital in October.
The Embassy is thrilled to see the resumed collaboration between the Taiwan hospital and BCVI, and is confident that meaningful impacts will be made upon the lives of our visually impaired friends in Belize.
