The Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE), jointly launched a “Sheep Management Field Day” in Orange Walk District on April 22, 2022 in promoting the “Sheep and Goat Project” cooperated between the Governments of Belize and Taiwan. The event was aiming to provide professional training and technical assistance, including demonstrations of forage cutting, supplemental feeding, sheep barn management, record keeping, animal husbandry, and lamb dishes serving to 25 sheep and goat farmers as participants.
The said “Field Day” is the second workshop of the “Sheep and Goat Project” in 2022. The Embassy and Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize will continue to work with the MAFSE to implement more practical and useful events which will benefit the sheep and goat farmers in Belize, as well as deepen the agricultural cooperation between our two countries.
