Taiwan donated medical equipment/supplies to the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Belize on April 29, 2021.

H.E. Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien was honored to participate in the handover ceremony of medical equipment/supplies with Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness of Belize as well as Dr. Deysi Mendez, CEO of the Ministry, on April 29, 2021.
Through the ceremony, 90 wheelchairs, 148 steel commodes, 108 aluminum walkers, 240 aluminum sticks, 300 aluminum foldable sticks, 180 crutches, 120 quad canes, 100 blind sticks and 60 elbow crutches from two Taiwanese NGO – “Puh Sein Foundation” (財團法人普賢教育基金會) and “Cao Zhong Zhi Foundation” (財團法人曹仲植基金會), and 3,000 isolation gowns from a Taiwanese company – “Innovative Vista Corp.” were donated to Belize.
In addition, Ambassador Chien also discussed the further cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 and post-pandemic recovery with Minister Chebat and CEO Mendez, and extended his gratitude to the people and government of Belize, for the unweaving support to Taiwan’s inclusion in the meetings, mechanisms, and activities in the World Health Organization and the World Health Assembly.
