The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to join the Belmopan City Council in its project to equip the Transport Department with a new vehicle to address the dispatching issue of traffic wardens to heavy traffic junctions during rush hours.
We applaud the Belmopan City Council’s efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and school children, tackle daily traffic challenges, and reduce the number of accidents at intersections. One of the key methods is to deploy traffic wardens efficiently to the respective posts to supervise road traffic. Our Embassy hence decided to donate BZD$24,000 to the Belmopan City Council for the purchase of a vehicle to enhance the capacity of the Transport Department and match the needs of traffic management.
For the sustainable growth and prosperity of the capital city, Taiwan will continue to work with the Belmopan City Council for safer neighborhood and communities.
