Ambassador Lee and colleagues from Taipei Office were invited to attend the graduation ceremony of "ÉcoleSun Yat-sen de Belgique" on last Sunday, June 23rd. Ms. Miao-Erh Liu, the school's chairwoman, Mr. Shan-LinLai, Commissioner of Overseas Community Affairs Council of Taiwan (OCAC), Ms. Foncy KUO, Adviser of OCAC, Board Member, Mr. Chi-Kang Chang, the school’s principal, Ms. Hsin-Hua Tai, Consultant of OCAC, Mr. Tian-Chang Lin, Associate Adviser of OCAC, Ms. Yu-Cheng Lu, and the school’s other board members and teachers also jointed the event.
Through his inspiring speech during the ceremony, Ambassador Lee expressed thanks to all the board members, teachers and students’ hard work, and encouraged the students to persist in enhancing their traditional Chinese language skills. “You will realize that language is a bridge that can lead you to the heart of Taiwanese culture, because only by understanding the language and script of our own country can we truly experience its unique cultural heritage and charm,” added the Ambassador. Similarly, Ms. Lu’s splendid and professional vocal performance was greatly applauded by all the attendees. Moreover, students showcased what they had learned through performing short skits, reciting poetry, dancing, and presenting several musical pieces.
