Ambassador Ming-Yen Tsai attend the first-ever "Labor Policy Seminar" co-organized by ILOSH and HIVA

The Institute of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health (ILOSH) of the Ministry of Labor in Taiwan and the Research Institute for Work and Society (HIVA) of KU Leuven co-hosted the first-ever online “Labor Policy Conference” on March 24, and the conference was opened by Peter LIEVENS, Vice Rector of KU Leuven, Ming-Yen TSAI, Ambassador of Representative Office in the European Union and Belgium and Shang-Chih, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Labor.
Labor market is the theme of this conference. Scholars and experts from both sides are invited to discuss and share their research and insights, and agreed to cooperate on future research projects in relation to the labor market issues.
Ambassador Tsai of the Office said in his remarks that the future of work is the most important labor issue at present. This conference will discuss the labor rights of platform workers, the impact of climate and circular economy transition on employment and skills, and the discussion will facilitate the cooperation between the two parties in labor policy planning and information exchange.
