Starting June 23, the Belgian government includes Taiwan on its list of countries approved for non-essential travel, and considers its epidemiological situation to be "Green or Orange" as per its colour code system.
Taiwanese travellers who would like to conduct non-essential travel to Belgium will still have to follow the quarantine rules announced by the Belgian government. As of today, June 23, the rules are:
1. Vaccination: From July 1st, non-residents of Belgium coming from countries outside of the EU/Schengen area, can enter Belgium after having received a complete coronavirus vaccination, and taking a PCR test with a positive result upon arrival. The methods which Belgium will use for recognizing the completion of vaccinations is pending ahead of further announcements by the Belgian government.
2. Passenger Locator Form (PLF), whatever the designation, “Green”, “Orange” or “Red”, given by the Belgian authorities to a third country, travellers who will stay in Belgium or have stayed outside Belgium before entry for more than 48 hours, have to fill out the PLF online. The authorities concerned reserve the right to request that any traveller follow the quarantine measures and PCR tests based on the "self-assessment questionnaire" of the PLF filled out by the traveller.
3. Quarantine and tests: Travellers who have visited or are coming from a “Red light countries/region” in the past 14 days, will have to provide within 72 hours a negative PCR test before departing for Belgium, and undergo a 7 day-quarantine with PCR tests on day 1 and day 7. Travellers who have visited or are coming from “Green” and/or “Orange light countries/regions” in the past 14 days, can waive the aforementioned quarantine and tests. The colour code system used by the Belgian government to classify third countries is reviewed and changed on a weekly basis.
Taiwanese nationals who would like to visit Belgium are highly advised to review the above-mentioned information at the official website (https://www.info-coronavirus.be), or contact Belgian foreign missions for more information.
